Ndejje University advanced to semi-finals of the University football League following a 1 all draw in the return league of the quarter finals at Nkumba play grounds on Wednesday last week.

The Luwero based side came into the game with a 2-1 advantage having won Nkumba at their home in Luwero and only a draw was enough to book them a place into the semis.

Steven Ayo found the lead for the visitors with just eight minutes off the first half after Nkumba University skipper, Douglas Muganga had fumbled with the ball.

At half time, Ndejje had went ahead to enjoy the driving seat with their 1-0 lead.

However after recess, Nkumba bounced back in a better fashion by launching attacks in search for an equalizer.

In the 60th minute, former Kampala Kids League (KKL) and 2013 Uganda top flight league debutants of Aurum Roses FC star, Martin Sseruwagi netted for the hosts, an equalizer from an indirect free kick.

From then Nkumba accelerated their attacking rate and in the 78th minute Ndejje were then reduced to 10 men when Erisa Lutaaya was red carded.

This seemingly caused panic and piled more misery to the Ndejje side as Nkumba continued to raid their goal.

However the score remained 1-1 at full time.
